Mask Studio requires an iPhone with a TrueDepth (Face ID) camera for AR face tracking. Older iPhones without Face ID and iPad models without Face ID are not supported. The iOS Simulator also does not support AR.
Make sure Mask Studio has camera permission. Go to iOS Settings > Mask Studio and enable Camera access. If the issue persists, try closing and reopening the app.
Drag with one finger to move the mask. Pinch to resize. For 3D models, use two fingers to push the mask further or pull it closer. Hold the rotate button and drag to rotate.
Tap "Import" in the gallery bar, choose "3D Model (.usdz)", and select a file from the Files app. The model will be placed as either a face mask or eye decoration. Note that some 3D models may appear offset or rotated because of how they were originally positioned by the author. You can adjust placement using gestures, but not all models will fit perfectly without manual tweaking.
Captured photos appear as a thumbnail in the bottom-left corner. Tap the thumbnail to preview, then tap "Save" to save to your Photo Library. Videos work the same way.
No. The camera feed is processed entirely on your device by Apple's ARKit. Nothing is recorded, stored, or transmitted unless you explicitly capture a photo or video. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Open the settings panel for any mask (slider icon, top-right) and scroll to "Reset Settings". This restores the curated default position and material settings for that mask.
